Ekaterina Gerasimenko (1993, Moscow).
Graduated from The Ilya Glazunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 2018 and the Institute of Contemporary Art «BAZA» in 2021. In 2021 she participated in a residency at the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts on Rossella Biscotti’s course «Making spatial stories» and in 2023 in «Martch Studio» residency program. In her artistic practices Ekaterina refers to the tradition of realistic painting and sculpture, herewith striving to crystallize the intersection of the illusory and the possible. The main subject of her interest becomes investigating how they both look at the universal.
